Pepper Turkey Breast Roast [En]

Peppers got a lovely smell, do not get me wrong. I like to add them into my cooking whenever I can, plus they add some colors to my food. This week I tried to combine 3 kinds of pepper, with some black pepper to see how it will turn out. The result was amazing, and it smelled so good. I just wanted the smell to stay in my kitchen. This recipe is really easy to make and I hope you will enjoy it like I did.

Ingredients for 4:
  • 3.0 lb of Boneless Turkey roast
  • 1/2 Green bell pepper
  • 1/2 Yellow bell pepper
  • 1/2 Red bell pepper
  • 1/4 tbsp of salt
  • 1 tbsp of Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Lime
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • Thyme
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Kitchen twine

  • Preheat the oven at 350F
  • Dry the turkey roast
  • Rub it with the butter
  • Put salt and pepper on the turkey
  • Cut the bell peppers and put half of it in the center of the roast
  • Cut the lime in slices and put half in center with half the thyme
  • Chop the garlic and put half in the center
  • Close it with the kitchen twine
  • Put rest of bell peppers, garlic and thyme on top
  • Put it in the oven for 45 minutes
  • Remove the roast from the oven and take out the bell peppers, lime and thyme that are on top of the roast.
  • Put the roast back for another 45 minutes.
  • After 45 minutes, remove the roast and serve.

If you do not dispose of kitchen twine, you can use some foil and shape it into a thin wire. That will help do the trick.

I removed the vegetables on top of the roast halfway, so they don't burn and turn ugly. I could have also put them on the second half but I wanted the flavor to incorporate into the meat before the top layer get crusty.
