Stuffed Apple O Caramel [En]

This week I decided to share an easy dessert. It is really easy to make and demands little ingredients. I usually do it when I cook big meal because it takes less time and I can concentrate more on the main course.

Ingredients for 2:

  • 2 apples
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 4 teaspoons of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Caramel sauce (optional)

Preparation:

  • Preheat the oven at 400°F
  • Cut the apple 1/2 an inch from the top. Cutting too will not give you a nice opening
  • Remove chunks from the apple using a spoon
  • Do not remove too much otherwise the skin will not hold in place
  • Remove the seeds from the chunks and chop them
  • Put the butter in a pan and grill the apples' chunk for one minutes
  • Add the sugar and the water
  • Let it caramelized for 3 minutes on low heat
  • Stuff the apples
  • Put it in the oven in a safe dish for 20 minutes
  • Serve each apple warm with a scoop of ice cream and drizzle with some caramel sauce if you have some.

For the apples I used any red apples because they are sweeter than the green ones. There is so many varieties of red apples too, but my favorites are the honeycrisp.
